Aim of International Service

Aim of International Service

The aim of International Service in Rotary is encourage and foster the advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace among Rotarians and among the peoples of the world.

Within District 9550, the aims of this fourth Avenue of Service are demonstrated with commitment to a number of international activities:  Reaching Overseas with Medical Aid for Children (ROMAC), Many projects in Timor Leste which is part of D9550 as well as the many programs under the RAWCS umbrella. These include Donations in Kind (DIK), and Rotarians against Malaria.

For Rotarians, there are many other ways we can be involved internationally. Please look at the information on the great range of Recreational fellowships that are available locally, or through RI. And consider involving your club in a Friendship Exchange or promote a District Friendship Exchange.

See the page;  Timor Leste Project Co-ordination/District Liaison for information on co-ordination of works in Timor Leste proposed by all Districts. Dilli Club is a dynamic club with a huge workload so a District Officer with long community development experience has been appointed to give expert assistance.
